The Araucaria, also known as Norfolk Island Pine, is a graceful, symmetrical plant loved for its soft, needle-like foliage arranged in tiered layers. Though it resembles a Christmas tree, it thrives year-round as an ornamental plant, bringing a fresh, evergreen touch to any space. Its upright structure and lush greenery make it ideal as a floor plant for living rooms, lobbies, or shaded balconies.

Light requirement:

Prefers bright, indirect light or partial sunlight. It can tolerate some direct morning light but should be protected from harsh afternoon sun. Indoors, place it near a well-lit window for best growth.

Soil requirement:

Grows best in well-draining, sandy loam or peat-based soil mix. Good aeration is essential to prevent waterlogging.

Water requirement:

Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy. Water thoroughly when the top 1–2 inches of soil feels dry. Reduce watering during cooler months. Avoid letting the soil completely dry out to prevent needle drop.
